Film: Evil Under The Sun (PG)

28 June

A glamorous actress is found dead on a private Adriatic island where Hercule Poirot is taking a holiday (while still trying to solve the mystery of a fake diamond belonging to the millionaire Sir Horace Blatt). The hotel owner begs Poirot to come to her aid and solve the mystery but his efforts only prove that every possible suspect seems to have an unshakeable alibi. At least, at first... Peter Ustinov plays the role for the second time alongside Maggie Smith, Diana Rigg, James Mason and Roddy McDowell and the film boasts a superb musical score all arranged from the works of Cole Porter.
