An Audience With Madeline Smith - postponed

4 April

A fundraising event for the theatre

Former Bond girl Madeline Smith, in conversation with Barnaby Eaton-Jones, is going to take to our stage to talk about her career but with a particular emphasis on her appearances in comedy. As well as Bond and a couple of Hammer Horror films, she worked with many legends on stage, in film and TV - John Gielgud, Frankie Howerd, Alec Guinness, Roger Moore, Leslie Phillips, Michael Hordern, Vincent Price, Peter Cushing, Tom Baker...the list goes on!

Madeline will be introducing rare and some never-before-seen clips of her work with Peter Sellers, The Two Ronnies and, in particular, Eric Morecambe's final role in the short film The Passionate Pilgrim; this was his only recorded work without Ernie Wise and Madeline played the female lead role opposite Eric. She is very kindly donating her time to the Playhouse totally free so that every single penny of every single ticket can go into our fundraising pot.
