Directed by Dexter Fletcher
Special Charity Screening
In this film starring Hugh Jackman, Jim Broadbent and Taron Egerton, Cheltenham-born Michael "Eddie" Edwards fights against all odds to represent Britain at the 1988 Olympics in Calgary. To quote our own local hero: "The film makes you laugh, makes you cry, makes you think".
There will also be a filmed interview with Eddie by BBC Points West's Steve Knibbs before the film and we hope that Eddie will be with us in person.
This is a special "Feel Good Friday" film night in aid of the Mayor's Charity Appeal. All tickets £10 with funds going to The Hollie Gazzard Trust and Cheltenham & Gloucester Hospitals Focus Fund. Bar open from 7.00 pm and post film, when the raffle will be drawn by Mayor Klara Sudbury. To purchase raffle tickets in advance of the screening or two find out more about the prizes, contact Lorelei on firstname.lastname@example.org
