A Christmas Carol

Music by Alan Menken
Lyrics by Lynn Ahrens
Book by Mike Ockrent & Lynn Ahrens

This winter, Jacob's Well return to the Playhouse with Dickens' immortal tale of hope and redemption.

Bah, humbug!

In the heart of London town, on Christmas Eve, Victorian miser Ebenezer Scrooge faces past, present and future with a haunting truth about the life he's lived. Lights of long ago dance before the here and now and then a bleak tomorrow. What hope is there for a wicked, old sinner like Scrooge?

Ghosts, Marley, the Fezziwigs, Bob Cratchet and Tiny Tim… Join us for this familiar, old tale, told in unfamiliar ways. Alan Menken (composer of Disney's Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid) provides the glorious musical score for what promises to be the hit musical sensation of the festive season.

Jacob's Well has risen up to be one of the most critically respected companies in the area. Surprising, moving, often hilarious and hard-hitting, their high quality musical productions have won over the hardest-nosed critics across their 18 year history with press and audiences saying "Incredible acting, fabulous singing and moving drama - what more could you want?" and "a thoroughly entertaining show...tip top!"

Jacob's Well Productions are proud to be sponsored by The Big Yellow Self Storage Company.
